• Where is my order?

    Once your item is fulfilled and on its way to you, an automatic email will be sent to the email you entered at checkout. If you choose a tracked service, the tracking number will be included via a link to the Royal Mail website! Please always check your junk or spam folder as sometimes our communication can be sent there.

  • How long does delivery take?

    We typically package and send out orders the following working day after purchase, but we state 3 working days as our workload fluctuates. We class working days as Monday - Friday only. During busy times such as Bank Holidays and December, our handling time increases from 3 working days to 5. How long the shipping itself takes after leaving our hands depends on the service you chose at checkout. For more information on lead times please see our shipping page.

  • Do you ship Globally?

    Yes! We ship everywhere. Please add items to your basket to receive a shipping cost calculation. All of our shipping prices are based on weight, so it’s not possible to get a price without adding items to the cart.

  • Will I pay customs taxes?

    This depends on your location. Unfortunately as the United Kingdom (where we’re based) has now left the EU, anything outside of the UK is subject to additional charges but this depends on your country of residence. We advise you to check with your local shipping provider for information on these charges.

  • My order is damaged

    Oh no! We’re sorry to hear that. As we’re sure you’re aware, our stock by Margot & Lux is vintage and therefore secondhand. We only state large flaws on our product listing if they are visible when worn or detract from wear but you can expect to find loose threads, small holes/tears, discolouration and small damage due to age. If the damage was stated in the listing on our website, classed as minor damage consistent with age, or not flagged to us at the till before you made your purchase in store it is not eligible for a return but we are happy to attempt to repair it for you. It is important to understand that all stock is sold as seen and it is the customers responsibility to thoroughly inspect all items prior to purchase. You can either post repairs (at your own cost) to us or drop them off in store but please email us here first to arrange this. For damaged stock from our external brands or our in house jewellery, please email us here to discuss options!

  • I’m not happy with my order, can I return it?

    Yes! You can return to the store or post your return back to us up to 14 days after purchase. Please note that jewellery, lingerie & nightwear and discounted items are non refundable and this includes our 10% off newsletter discount. Please see our returns page here for the full policy. If you are not eligible for a refund we can offer you store credit or an exchange but as with all refund requests please email us here prior to sending your item back.

  • Why are your prices so high compared to other vintage stores?

    Our prices are super fair considering the amount of work that goes into sourcing, cleaning and repairing our stock. Including labour costs, marketing, overheads and paying our team a decent living wage means you might notice a higher price vs other stores. Having said that, we pride ourselves on curating historical and vintage pieces that you actually want to wear and don’t have to put the work in to find.   • What payment methods do you offer?

    You can find a full list of payment methods at the bottom of the screen, and we’re happy to report that we offer two “buy now pay later” options: Klarna and Clearpay!

  • Where do you find your stock?

    Everywhere! We always have our eyes on new pieces and scour the internet to find new spots to source our stock. We tend to mainly source within the UK but we actually have a lot of our pieces come from private collections. If you have something you’d love to find a new home, we can sell it for you! Please send us an email here and we can chat about your collection.

  • How does sizing work?

    Figuring out vintage sizing can be a confusing process. We created a handy guide and a size chart to help you make an informed decision when browsing our website and store. As with everything, if you need advice on sizing you can email us here or click the orange speech bubble at the bottom right of your screen to use our live chat function.

  • What kind of packaging do you use?

    At the moment we are working through our huge stockpile of packaging that we repurpose and recycle to send our orders out in. We refuse to buy brand new (recycled) packaging until we have exhausted our supply of used packaging such as plastic mailers and cardboard boxes. Don’t be alarmed if you were expecting something premium, it’s just us trying to be more mindful about packaging.

  • Do you privately source vintage garments?

    Yes! If you have something in mind you’d like us to find, we can absolutely do this for you. We’re super happy to source something special for your event, so please contact us with your ideas here. If you’re a brand or designer and need us to source historical or vintage reference pieces for your buying/design team you can contact us here.

  • Can I loan some stock from you?

    Absolutely! We often loan to stylists for shoots, we can discuss this here. If you’d like us to source stock for a special project, please let us know with a minimum of 4 weeks notice prior to the shoot/project date as we need to fit private sourcing around running the business. If your project is more than one day, you’ll need to rent the stock, please contact us here.

  • Do you do rentals?

    Yes! We are currently building up our archive which will be ready for private rentals later in the year. If you’re a costume designer we can rent our current stock for productions. Please email us here to discuss this!
